  • Itineraries vary from day to day, and most days trekking would be 6 to 8 hours depending on individual fitness level.
  • Our trekkers have the choice of sleeping in a tent or a sleeping bag.
  • Most of our camp sites are in villages and close to flowing water and rivers.
  • Weather changes anytime without notice, it can be sunny when you depart your camp site, but raining by the time you reach your next camp site.
  • We carry all our trek food and each meals are prepared fresh each time. We also cater for vegetarians.
  • We operate on a ratio of 2 is to 1 trekker, hence our porters and guides are able to fully guide each trekker and trekkers are never left alone while trekking.
Day 1 : TREK FROM OWERS' CORNER - GOODWATER (CAMPSITE)

Your Kokoda adventure begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation. After a scenic drive, you’ll arrive at the historic Ower’s Corner, where you’ll meet your experienced porters, ready to guide you through the iconic trail. Today, you’ll descend into the lush rainforest, crossing the meandering Goldie River and passing through the historic Uberi and Dump 66 sites. Your day concludes at the Goodwater campsite, where you can relax and enjoy dinner under the stars.

Brace yourself for a exhilarating day of adventure!! Your trek begins with a steep ascent to the summit of Imita Ridge, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding rainforest. After catching your breath, you’ll descend into the Ua Ule Creek, crossing it multiple times before reaching  Ua Ule campsite for a well-deserved lunch. Refreshed and rejuvenated, you’ll tackle the final leg of today’s trekking, a challenging ascent to Ioribaiwa Village. Your campsite for the night will be nestled within this picturesque village.

Your third day adventure begins with a steep but rewarding ascent to the top of Ioribaiwa Ridge. From the summit, you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After taking in the scenery, you’ll descend into the Ofi Creek, where you can refill your water bottles before tackling the challenging nine false peaks of the Maguli Range. The final leg of your journey is a spectacular descent into the picturesque village of Nauro, where you’ll camp for the night.

Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise over the majestic mountain ranges that divide northern and southern Papua. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll begin your descent towards the Nauro Swamps. Carefully navigate the Brown River, whose water levels can vary depending on recent rainfall. Your trek continues across flat ground, passing through the charming village of Agulogo. From there, prepare for a challenging ascent known as “The Wall,” leading you to the Menari Gap. Descend into the Menari Village, where you’ll camp for the night.

Prepare for another challenging day as you ascend the iconic Brigade Hill, also known as “Butcher’s Hill.” Be sure to refill your water bottles before embarking on this steep climb. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After a short break to soak in the scenery, you’ll descend to the halfway point of the Kokoda Trail, the historic Efogi Village. Celebrate your achievement and reflect on the incredible experiences you’ve had so far on this unforgettable journey.

Your day begins with a steep descent to the first creek crossing of the day. From there, you’ll ascend to the village of Naduri, followed by another challenging climb to the 1900 campsite area for lunch. After lunch, you’ll begin on another steady climb to the top of Mt. Bellamy, the highest point on the Kokoda Trail. Weather permitting, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views that extend as far as Mamba in Kokoda. Your final destination for the day is Templetons Crossing, where you’ll camp for the night.

Your journey continues with a short but steep descent to Eora Creek, which you’ll cross before continuing to Templetons 2. As you make your way to Eora Creek Village, you’ll pass numerous weapon pits that serve as a reminder of the intense battles that took place in this region. Your journey continues along narrow and slippery tracks to Alola Village, where you’ll enjoy a well-deserved lunch break. 

The second last day of your trek takes you to the historic Isurava Battlefield, where you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by the soldiers who fought here. You’ll embark on a series of short descents that will lead you to the picturesque Hoi Village. Tonight, you’ll spend your final night on the trail in this charming village, reflecting on the incredible experiences and challenges you’ve faced over the past week.

Congratulations! Today marks the final day of your incredible Kokoda Trail Trekking. The finish line is within reach, and the excitement is noticeable. This morning, you’ll embark on a final two-hour walk to the iconic Kokoda Trail Arch, which signifies the end of your epic trek. As you cross the finish line, take a moment to celebrate your achievement and reflect on the unforgettable experiences you’ve had on this extraordinary adventure.
